Tulo gives your property two things: visibility and autonomous booking management.

  • Visibility. Your rooms and beds in the Tulo app, in front of every bed seeker in Lusaka.
  • Autonomous booking management. Bookings arrive, confirm, and land on the right room or bed on their own. No phone tag, no double-selling a night.
  • Full system or integrated. Run your whole front desk on the Tulo Console, or keep the system you have and connect it through our API and webhooks.

What is Tulo?

Tulo is an iPhone app that helps you find a real place to sleep in Lusaka: guesthouses, lodges, hotels, and dorm beds. Every listing has real photos, an exact map pin, and a phone number that answers, because a person checked it. You can browse freely and book a stay from the app.

Does Tulo collect the money for my stay?

No, never. You pay for your accommodation directly to the property, the way you always have. Tulo does not collect, hold, or pass on room money for anyone. We are a guide and a booking tool, not a middleman for your stay.

So what would I ever pay Tulo?

One thing only: when you place a booking through the app, Tulo charges a small reservation fee (sometimes called a convenience fee). It is shown clearly before you confirm, it goes to Tulo, not the property, and it is the only amount a bed seeker ever pays through the app. The room price itself is settled with the property directly.

What do properties pay?

Properties pay Tulo a flat monthly subscription for the listing and the Tulo Console (front desk, bookings, reports). There is no commission on rooms; a property keeps 100% of what its guests pay it.

Can I pay in the app today?

Not yet. In-app payment of the reservation fee is built but currently switched off while we complete our payment-provider integration. Until it goes live, booking through Tulo costs you nothing; you simply pay the property for your stay. Full details live on the disclosures page.

How does Tulo verify places?

A person from our team checks every listing: the photos are the property's real rooms, the pin is where the gate actually is, and the phone number is answered. Where a property has a published ZTA licence, we show it. If something goes stale, tell us via support and a person re-checks it.

Do I need an account?

Not to browse. The whole catalog is open, no sign-up, no ad tracking. To place a booking we ask for the basics a front desk needs: your name, phone number, and ID details for check-in.

What about cancellations and refunds?

Your stay is a direct arrangement with the property, so its cancellation terms apply. For anything Tulo itself charged, our refunds & cancellations policy spells out exactly when we refund.
